The certification is real: WQA lists Boroux systems under NSF/ANSI 401 and NSF/ANSI 42. WQA is an accredited certification body that issues listings against the NSF/ANSI standards, so this is not a lesser badge than an NSF-issued one. It is also not findable by searching 'Boroux' as a company — the listee is James Enterprise Inc.

The scope is narrow. Across every Boroux row, the named reduction claims are Microplastics and Nominal Particulate Class I. That is two. There is no certified lead-reduction claim, no PFAS claim, no cyst claim, no VOC claim.
