Help paying your water bill in 2026

LIHWAP, the federal water-bill program, sunset on March 31, 2024, and the Administration for Children and Families says households cannot receive its benefits. As of 2026-10-11, the enacted Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2026 (Public Law 119-75), Labor and Health and Human Services appropriations included, does not mention LIHWAP, household water or water assistance.
