1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using the Waterd iOS application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
Waterd is a hydration tracking application that helps you monitor daily water intake. It uses publicly available EPA and state water utility data from TapWaterData to provide contextual water quality information for your area.
3. Informational Purposes Only
Water quality data displayed in the App is provided for informational purposes only and does not constitute medical, health, or safety advice. We make no warranties about the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of the data. Always consult local water authorities for official water quality reports. If you have health concerns about your water, contact a qualified professional.
4. On-Device Data
All personal data including hydration logs, health metrics, and preferences are stored locally on your device. We do not operate user accounts or cloud databases. Deleting the App removes all locally stored data permanently.
5. Subscriptions and Purchases
Waterd offers optional premium features through auto-renewable subscriptions and one-time purchases managed by Apple via the App Store. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings.
6. User Data and Privacy
Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy. We respect your privacy and handle data as described therein.
7. Intellectual Property
All content, design, and code in the App are owned by or licensed to us. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without written permission.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months preceding the claim.
9. Modifications
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
